Single Tooth Implants

A Complete Solution for One Missing Tooth

If you’re missing a tooth, a single dental implant is a fantastic way to restore your smile and oral function. Dental implants are designed to look, feel, and function just like your natural teeth, giving you the freedom to eat, speak, and smile with confidence.

What is a Single Dental Implant?

A single dental implant is a titanium post that acts as an artificial tooth root. It is surgically placed into the jawbone where the missing tooth used to be.

Over time, the implant integrates with the bone, creating a stable base for a custom-made crown that is designed to match your natural teeth in both appearance and function.

Benefits of a Single Dental Implant

Gentle Touch Dental Implant Studio
Natural Look and Feel
Dental implants are designed to blend in with your natural teeth, providing a seamless, natural look that feels just like your own tooth. No one will be able to tell the difference!

Improved Functionality
Unlike removable dentures, implants are permanent and provide full chewing power. You can eat your favourite foods without worrying about discomfort or slippage.

Preserve Jawbone Health
When you lose a tooth, the bone in that area begins to shrink over time. Dental implants help stimulate the bone, preventing bone loss and preserving your facial structure.

Protect Adjacent Teeth
Unlike bridges, a single dental implant doesn’t require cutting down neighbouring teeth for support. This helps to protect your healthy teeth from unnecessary damage.

Long-Lasting Solution
With proper care, a dental implant can last for many years—often a lifetime—making it one of the most durable and cost-effective treatments for missing teeth.

Consultation and Examination
1. Consultation and Examination During your first visit, we’ll assess your oral health, take clinical photographs, x-rays or digital scans, and discuss your treatment goals. We will check whether your jawbone is healthy enough to support the implant. If necessary, bone grafting might be recommended to ensure a strong foundation.

Implant Placement
The next step is placing the titanium implant into your jawbone. This procedure is done under local anaesthesia, with optional inhalation sedation, to ensure your comfort. Once placed, the implant needs time to fuse with the bone, which takes about 12 weeks. During this time, the implant becomes a stable anchor for the replacement tooth.

Attaching the Abutment
Once the implant has fully integrated with your jawbone, we’ll attach an abutment, which acts as the connector between the implant and the crown.

Placing the Crown
The final step is to place a custom-made dental crown onto the abutment. The crown is crafted to match the colour, size, and shape of your natural teeth, ensuring a perfect fit for your smile.

At these appointments we will assess and review the bone levels around your implants, check your gum health and provide oral health and cleaning advice.
